We want all of our guests to have the most enjoyable and relaxing experience possible. For that reason, please take a minute to become familiar with the rental home’s rules and regulations.


Check-in time is 4:00 PM or later EST.

We reserve the right to refuse to rent to anyone under the age of 25 years old or student groups. A valid credit card is required on-file for a security deposit on all rentals.

While we will make every effort to have your rental home ready on time, there could be a slight delay during PEAK SEASON — your patience is greatly appreciated.


Check-out time is 10:00 AM EST. If you want to extend your vacation, please contact SenecaLakeWTR@gmail.com to see if the rental is booked or available for your extension.

NO refunds will be given for early departures (should you find it necessary to leave earlier than your reserved departure date), for any reason including weather.

We hope that you enjoy your stay and we understand that leaving and going back to your normal routine can be hard! However, we ask that you help us to turn the vacation rental for the next guest. Pease adhere to the following rules:

*** Wash all dishes or place them in the dishwasher and turn it onto the cleaning cycle.

*** Do not put hot ashes or coals from the grill or fireplace in the trash cans. This is a fire hazard. Our housekeeping service will clean out the fireplaces and the grills.

*** Turn off all lights and small appliances and set the heat at 65 degrees in the winter months. In the summer, the air conditioners should be set at 75 degrees.

***Gather all garbage and recyclables and place in the outside trash receptacles.

***Ensure all doors and windows are locked upon your departure.



Any personal items left behind, lost or stolen during a stay are the responsibility of the guest. We are not responsible for items left behind or lost. If requested, we will ship back any items that are found by a local shipping service. Any costs for shipping will be charged to the guest’s credit card. We hold on to any items left behind for 30 days to see if they are claimed before disposal. Although theft is rare, please lock the rental home to protect your property while away.


*** If there are damages to the property or items within the property, you will be charged for full replacement costs.

*** No Smoking is allowed inside! Please…only smoke outside or in the open part of the deck. Please do not pitch your butts over the railing or into the grass, use ash trays!

*** Any theft, vandalism or evidence of drug use will be photographed and reported to the police and possibly followed by litigation.

*** Any vacation rental home that is left unsecured by the guest, resulting in items being damaged or stolen, will be the responsibility of the registered guest. He/she will incur the cost of replacing any items which are damaged or stolen.

*** Please keep in mind there are neighbors. Keep the noise levels to a minimum. Quiet time is from 10:00 PM until 9:00 AM. Common courtesy is always appreciated.

*** Any guest that we are forced to evict will forfeit all money paid and no credits will be issued.

*** Please remember that a signed rental agreement is considered a legal and binding contract and therefore gives Crimson Sky Lodging the right to collect payment for damages, and missing items.

*** House Parties are NOT allowed. Our vacation rental homes are not to be used for parties or gatherings that exceed the sleeping capacity of the cabin. Guest(s) agree that no more than the number of persons listed on the reservation agreement shall occupy the premise overnight. If more than the number of persons occupies the unit stated, the result will be a loss of total rent, security deposit and / or additional charge to your credit card.


Our property will NOT be rented to vacationing students or young adults (under 25) unaccompanied by a responsible parent or guardian. A PARENT MUST BE STAYING IN THE VACATION RENTAL AT ALL TIMES. OUR PROPERTIES ARE MONITORED FOR VIOLATION OF THIS POLICY. ALL VIOLATORS WILL BE EVICTED WITH ALL RENTAL PAYMENTS BEING FORFEITED! RESERVATIONS MADE UNDER FALSE PRETENSES ARE NULL AND VOID AND CHECK-IN WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. This policy includes reservations made by parents who do show up, and/or who leave overnight during the length of the stay. NO EXCEPTIONS!


Cancellations are costly for a rental company. We understand that emergencies come up and we want to be fair. If cancellations occur 60 days or more prior to your reservation date, all deposits are fully refundable minus a $250 cancellation fee.

If cancellations occur less than 60 days from your reservation date, deposits are non-refundable. However you may rebook and those funds will be applied to your next reservation. You may only reschedule one time.


A “no-show” is an automatic forfeiture of charges — this is a contract between you (the guest) and Crimson Sky Lodging. You will be charged for the full stay if the proper cancellation policies are not followed. If we have held a vacation rental home for you, we have pledged that house and those dates to you. You will be charged for this reservation.


The maximum numbers of occupants are listed on each rental home description. Please adhere to these maximums. New York fire codes prevent rental homes from being overpopulated. If you misrepresent the number of people in your group, you will be asked to leave and no refunds will be given for this fraud under the “defrauding an innkeeper” law of this state. We absolutely will not allow house parties of any kind whatsoever.


We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We can NOT accept personal, business, cashiers or certified checks.


The registered guest agrees to indemnify the owner and Crimson Sky Lodging, of any damages to the premises which result from the renter’s occupancy (including furnishings and household items) and/or damages found upon departure. The registered guest is the one who will be charged for any damages his/her group causes to the property. Neither the owner nor Crimson Sky Lodging will be responsible for accidents or injury to guests or for loss of money or valuables of any kind. The registered guest assumes full responsibility for any and all damages that his/her group causes, or for any items found to be missing after his/her group’s visit, including linens and towels. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests of the registered renter are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises.


Pets are allowed on a case by case basis. There is a $35 per day charge for the first pet and a $50 fee for the second. No more than two pets are allowed in any of our rental units. If the unit is found in disarray due to neglect or your leaving your pets alone, there will be an extra cleaning charge to correct any and all such problems. Dogs must be crated when left unattended.


We charge a cleaning fee for a full cleaning at the beginning of your stay. This covers trash removal, and other necessary routine services.


Each rental unit is provided with bed linens, towels and wash clothes. Guests are expected to supply charcoal for the grill, fire starters or kindling, aluminum foil, bath soap, toilet tissue, paper towels, trash bags, dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent, coffee filters, plastic wrap, and all your food. Many guests like to bring beach towels if they swim in the lake. Again, most of these things can be picked up at the local grocery stores or Wal-Mart.


While we strive to ensure the equipment in every rental home is in good working condition, sometimes things do break down. If we are notified of a problem we will do our best to get any problem corrected on a timely basis. However, no refunds or rate adjustments will be made for mechanical failures beyond our control. This includes hot tubs, Jacuzzis, fireplaces, appliances, public utility problems such as telephone outages, cable or satellite outages, etc. We will do our best to remedy any problem you report to us, but some things are beyond our control. We reserve the right to make any necessary cabin moves due to mechanical failures.


Guests will be provided with emergency contacts


Guests understand that dock usage is at their OWN RISK and will not hold property owners responsible for any injury that might occur. It is absolutely forbidden for children to be on the boat dock without a responsible adult and life preserver.


All reservations require 100% payment of total rental charges and applicable sales taxes. The deposit you make is 100% refundable less a $250 cancellation fee if cancelled 60 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival date.

Before you begin your stay we must have the signed rental agreement, along with a copy of the front and back of your driver’s license.

DO NOT send a check for your balance due. We do not accept checks. Sales tax is charged and collected on all payments for any services to the rental company.

Seneca Lake Wine Trail Rentals does not share our customers information with any third party. We use return email addresses to answer email we receive and send out periodic newsletters. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
